The scenes of thousands of students / children buried under the debris are heart-breaking. For those who have survived, they need to rebuild their life back.... will they?

IMPORTANT FOR YOUR PROTECTION:

A stock clerk was sent to clean up a storeroom in Maui , Hawaii .

When he got back, he was complaining that the storeroom was really filthy and that he had noticed dried mouse or rat droppings in some areas.
A couple of days later, he started to feel like he was coming down with a stomach flu, complained of sore joints and headaches, and began to vomit.

He went to bed and never really got up again. Within two days he was severely ill and weak. His blood sugar count was down to 66, and his face and eyeballs were yellow. He was rushed to the emergency at Pali-Momi, where he was diagnosed to be suffering from massive organ failure. He died sh ortly before midnight.
No one would have made the connection between his job and his death,had it not been for a doctor who specifically asked if he had been in a warehouse or exposed to dried rat or mouse droppings at any time. They said there is a virus (much like the Hanta virus) that lives in dried rat and mouse droppings.

Once dried, these droppings are like dust and can easily be breathed in or ingested if a person does not wear protective gear or fails to wash face and hands thoroughly .
An autopsy was performed on the clerk to verify the doctor's suspicions.

This is why it is extremely important to ALWAYS carefully rinse off the tops of canned sodas or foods, and to wipe off pasta packaging, cereal boxes, and so on.
Almost everything you buy in a supermarket was stored in a warehouse at one time or another, and stores themselves often have rodents.

Most of us remember to wash vegetables and fruits but never think of boxes and cans.
The ugly truth is, even the most modern, upper-class, super store has rats and mice. And their warehouse most assuredly does!

Whenever you buy any canned soft drink, please make sure that you wash the top with running water and soap or, if that is not available, drink with a straw.
The investigation of soda cans by the Center for Disease Control in Atlanta discovered that the tops of soda cans can be encrusted with dried rat's urine, which is so toxic it can be lethal. Canned drinks and other foodstuffs are stored in warehouses and containers that are usually infected with Rodents, and then they get transported to retail outlets without being properly cleaned.

Haha, am such a failure, I've been 'missing' for so many months since returned from Korea. Terrible mum!

On 26th March,

Weight : slightly over 10kg

Claudia turned 22 months, she has yet to reached a whole terrible two syndrome… She's understanding more things and becoming more and more demanding or are we losing more of our patience…

She's able to combine 2 or 3 words to make a sentence or starting to ask questions like :-

1) dia dia (means herself) wants
2) eh (where) you go?
3) mommy, ha kin na (hurry-in hokkien)
4) gong-gong, come sit here
5) dia dia cannot go there meh?

Yesterday, was our 4th ROM anniversary, we didn't get to celebrate, postpone la, when we are abit free only, because we were busy welcoming the new toyota RUSH. Yay!!

P/s : the reason for my long absent was.... i was feeling sick most of the time... nausea, sleepy and tired .... yes I'm pregnant with no. 2, now at 15 weeks!!

CLaudia is 18 months

She turned 18 month on 26/11 but I don't have the time to blog about, reason being, I'm just too tight up with everything, work, work and work, and was busy doing shopping for the Korea trip. Wow, I really spent quite a lot on the money, even some of the necessities I gotto to loan from friends and got a free jacket worth RM349 from Winter time, there are still alot of others stuff to buy like lotions, lip balm, a pair of good shoe, bigger pants, extra sweater, long john and etc. I really burnt quite a big hole in my pocket. Think twice before going for a winter holiday.

Ok back to Claudia, she is at

Height : 75cm
Weight : 9.7kg

Meal is as usual except she has been taking porridge twice a day daily, that is a good news, because she wasn't all fancy about porridge before, my mum would always cook for her but it will all ended in my brother's tummy, because she will spit all out and refused to eat later, now I thank God that she's eating, I hope she will gain more and more weight when I return. She is really small at her age and is still underweight.

I call her a singing bird, each time she wakes up in the morning, she will start to talk and talk non-stop and she likes to imitate us, she repeats what we say or do, copy exactly like an adult does, like a 'lou yan ching', and she will laugh at herself too.

Holiday starts tonight but ...

I'm going to fly to Korea tonight, but I'm not all excited and looking forward this trip, not as excited and I had expected to be months ago. Why? Hmm... there are a few reasons :-

I am so sick (how to enjoy when you are already sick and your lips start to crack even before leaving for the cold country
I worry about my work will pile high up when I returned, and dunno where and when to start
My dearest sister will arrive to after spending months and months at LA, we don't have time to catch up until after 1 week
I worry about leaving my home for 1 week with no one to look after
My best friend's mum passed away on Monday, I was not able to attend the funeral at Sitiawan, I don't have a chance to comfort her and lend her a shoulder to cry on since that day and now I'll be flying and only can meet up after 1 week later. So my dearest friends, please help to look after her during I'm away
My father and brother are going to Korea too, leaving only the ladies behind, my mum, sis, Claudia and the maid. I rely need to rely on my sis to help to look after all of them, make sure you look all the doors ya?
But most importantly, I miss my little darling...can she cope without me? or rather can I cope without her by my side? I will definitely miss her, thinking of only leaving her makes me wanna cry, I told her to be good and stay with her po-po for a week while mummy and daddy are away, but she shook her head saying that she don't want. I dunno whether she understands. Claudia, make sure you be good ok, although we are away, we will miss you too, and love you always, don't angry with mummy and daddy ya?

This is not my first time going on vacation without Claudia, each time I felt heavy hearted to bid her goodbye, I remembered a few times I was on vacation and came back, she will show her anger towards me (no joke man) or even cried and rejecting me, I felt lousy and sad. I really hope this round it wont happen (this is the longest trip). Mummy will buy more and more gifts for you, ok?

I know I must learn to let go and not to worry unnecessary. I must learn to enjoy. If I can't do it, better not thinking of going on vacation again. Yeah, I think I won't simply plan again, must re-think of the pros and cons. Sigh.

Last night, was the 1st time ever in so many months (or 1 year plus) that I need to wake up and change her diapers. She has never need to change extra at night, she couldn't sleep because she was all wet and very uncomfortable, so she interrupted me and told me that she is wet. True enough, her pant and shirt, plus the bed sheet were all wet. I got up and changed her diapers and the pyjamas. I hope this will be the one and the last time, if not your mummy will have a panda eyes the next morning, dear.

Happy 3rd Anniversary

Today marks our 3rd Wedding Anniversary. How time flies, it is unbelievable that we've been living together for 3 years already and to mark the 3rd wedding anniversary, we are going to Korea on 5th of December for a 8D7N holiday :) .

As for tonight, we don't have any plan to dine for dinner, initially we planned to have our romantic dinner somewhere, but we are very heavy hearted to leave Claudia behind, so we plan this coming weekend... Hopefully Claudia would be very well behave and let us enjoy our meals together.

Dear hubs,

Many things has changed throughout this 3 years, we've been ups and downs together, we've grow as a family. I may be very bossy and unreasonable at times (i know...) but nothing can change my love for you. May there be many many more years to come.

Haha, thanks for dropping by, I must confess i have not been updating lately, so it is nice to see you again. How I really miss blogging....

My little girl is learning fast... she talks alot, some words are understandable while some are just her babbling, she communicates well with me too. We were sleeping and her ear itch, she took my finger on her ear and ask me to scratch for her, when she can't sleep, she put my hand on her buttock and ask me to pat her to sleep, smart right? One midnight, she got up to find her chut-chut, found and put inside her mouth but she felt geli because there was a strand of hair on it, she tried to remove but can't so she passed to chut-chut to me and made funny faces, as if there is something on it, haha, so i removed it for her.

If she wants to eat something, she will take my hand and take me near the table, and said mum-mum, take my hand take me near the closet to take out her toys, she will play, wants to open the door she will say key and alot more... I just don't know who to describe it now, it is hard to record her development as she just never fail to amaze us.

My dad carried her the other day, she told my dad that she wants to walk but he said no then she made a pitiful face "walk walk pees ah, walk walk peeesssss". Wow, how to reject her request? Whatever she wants but when we refused, she will goes like this "peeesseee"

She likes to bully the maid too, when she is at good mood and wants favour from maid, she will call kakak at her sweetest voice, but when she got angry and annoyed, she will call "Etee" (Siti) with her angry face.

She loves to imitate too, my dad sneezed, she make "haachuuu" with her lip pout. She will also help to sweep the floor like the maid does. Oh there's so much to say about this girl....

Just a short note to post a message here to remind myself that she is already 17 months.

I have been dying to write something here, but I would rather spend my time sleeping due to my terrible sleep debt ... I feel tired all the time which explained why this blog is lack of updating. Sorry guys, I promise I would never abandon my precious' cyber nest, I will be back with many many post soon once I gain back the energy. BTW, Claudia was down with flu earlier this week and thank God that she is recovering.

Nothing much to view, nothing FUN-TASTIC, weather was hot but the sky not clear, lots of pictures taken were very blur, not nice scenery, so I don't wanna waste my time uploading pictures here, perhaps a night view would be better I guess. It cost us RM61 for three adult (RM15 each), 2 senior (RM8 each), approx 12 minutes (about 4 cycle)

Conclusion : waste of time and money. I have nothing else to say.

She prefer to walk about on her own without her hand being held at times. I am getting old, I have no energy to run after her especially when I don't bring my maid along to look after her while I do my shopping.

My best solution is this

I have no regret buying this, I think it is a great way to keep kids close and safe in crowds, or during family outings. A great way to keep active toddlers close at hand and safely next to you. Can't you see she was happy roaming around from the picture?

She has no problem with her wrist being strapped, look at the pictures above. She was happy leading the way, but why oh why? When I showed the pictures to my colleague they said I treated my daughter like a dog, and I was label as evil and cruel.

What is wrong with this? Why is everyone saying that I'm cruel to have strap her like strapping a dog? I don't see what is wrong with using a harness on her. It allows her to roam freely, but within a safe distant from me.

Is it really that cruel? You tell me.

Came back from work yesterday and was greeted by my little girl with a smile on her face. I asked her to call me and she said "Mommie". Hmmm ... Heart melted .... still melting thinking about it ....

After our meal, my mum took out some jellies as our dessert, hmmm so yummylicious!! Little girl doesn't want to be left out too, she also wanted a bite. I asked her to call me again, and guess what? She called me "Gong-gong", "not gong-gong, call again" I said, "ah hmmm, bit cha bit cha, hmmm" aiyah she said anything but not mummy! *fainted* So Gong-gong also asked her to call him, she said "abitcha, mam mam" and quickly bite the jelly! Panicked ka? Why suddenly dunno how to call us?

I have a guest coming to stay at our home yesterday, but she doesn't know how to go to my house, so I have to lead her back home, so I asked hubby to drive alone, while the rest of us will be in the same car with the driver. As we entered the car, Claudia felt that something is missing and looked outside and saw her daddy driving away his car. She called out "daddie" and pointed at it. This is the 1st time she called out her daddy without us telling her to call. Hubby, too bad, you don't get to hear this, or else you'll sure cannot sleep!

Lately, we have noticed a lot of stray dogs at the housing area and some are puppies too, my dad loves pet, he has always wanted to keep one but we are a bunch of useless people (my mum, sis and me), we are afraid of animals... we would try to avoid dogs and cats whenever they come nearer.

I think Claudia is fond of dogs like her grandpa. Whenever she sees one, she would point at the dog and try to approach it, so my daddy caught a puppy and bring it to Claudia, she would touch her and pat the puppy lovingly, trying to kiss it too, I was really afraid that it might bite her or hurt her. I don't know why my dad would let her grand daughter to touch it, doesn't he think that it is dangerous?

I am not sure whether this girl still doesn't know how to feel scared or she is really a dog lover?

At my mum's place (11/9/07).

I was sitting beside her watching the tv, then I saw her licking the speaker on the left, I smacked her cheek lightly but repeatedly and told her not to do that again, she was angry and cried, after that she pushed me away, she didn't want to sit beside me anymore.

The crying continued for a few more minutes, and I got agitated, she is very stubborn now so I carried her and put her in a corner, I went back to sit and continue watching tv, she knew I was angry with her, and so she came back to me and cling on my lap. Haiyah, this mummy heart melted and hugged her back.

There she was sitting on my lap while I continued to watch the tv, after a while, I can feel that she can no longer sit still with me, and tried to get down, I allowed her to get down and said "go" but you know what? She backed off and made noise refused to go down, and this happened about three times. Later, she wanted to remove her shoe, and I helped her but she cried when I removed it, so I patiently put her shoe back, again she cried!! Wah, what happened to this girl!! Too much already, my blood rushed to my head and I threw the shoe away and I told her to stay with her gong-gong, I don't want her to follow me home and walked out from the house. She wailed and screamed loudly, but after that she didn't dare to make me angry anymore.

Must show her some colour sometimes or else she'll climb on my head!

Hi guys, welcome back, I know I have not been updating my blog for more than a week, sorry, I've been busy, err ... lazy actually ... haha.

Sharon Sharon! I have a good news for you, we have received the parcel! Phew!! Finally after about 2 weeks of waiting, we finally received it, thank God. Mummy called to inform yesterday and she was eager to open it but I asked her to wait till I reached home, I want to take the picture and show it to you.

Although, I knew I will receive the parcel from you, but I don't know why I felt so touch after I opened it. All the cloths and shoe were neatly stuffed into the box. You have bought so much for Claudia, and they are so nice and pretty, thank you so much. Claudia, you see your ee ee loves you so much? If your ever forget her ah, I will scold you, ok!

Claudia was happy to see so many nice bajus and can't wait to try on every piece, after that, she will start to parade it in front of us. Unfortunately, we were unable to snap some of the picture, because she was running towards me to view the camera as soon as I try to snap her and she refused to co-operate. My friend (aunty Yvonne) has been asking me, what would Claudia usually do during the day when she is not sleeping, well frankly, I don't have the idea, reason being, most of the time, I'll be spending my time in the office, and doing shopping or outing during weekends, I don't really sit down to watch her every movement, until recently, when I was not feeling well, I stayed home to rest.

Wow, I can tell you. She was busy ... busy messing around, took out all the magazines and books that were neatly placed under the coffee table. She would tear it, licked it and put into her curious mouth to taste, each time we tidied up, it would messed again in lest than 5 minutes.

Such an active girl, if you don't have the stamina, its very difficult keep up with her. You have to chase and stop her from running and climbing up to whatever thing that she could reach. She would not slow down to rest even awhile, the time that she is not active is during her nap and sleeping time, but nevertheless, she is a good girl, she seldom cry and fuss. She is just too curious of everything and anything .... other than this, she was busy looking for some snacks and very clingy to me and her kakak, always wanting us to carry her, however she tried very hard not to bother me too when I was sleeping (pretending), she'll peeped at me and 'sayang' me. It was very comforting knowing that she cared for me too.

August has been a busy month for us, we have plans and trips almost every weekend and yup, we have another trip this week, we'll be off to Genting tonight for Merdeka's countdown, hopefully there will be a countdown, I remember years ago, we went up the hill with my boyfriend (now hubby) and my sister during Merdeka eve. We had so much fun there. This time we'll be going with my parents, and some closest friends, but without my sister who is in LA now, sorry Sharon...we go without you and do you still remember our old place? *wink wink* Haha, don't worry if we lose, we share, if we wins that's all mine ... wahahaha

Before I forget, I wanna wish all Malaysian a very ......

26/8/07 at The Palace Beach & Spa

Initially you were very uncomfortable with the beach, you just sit still and dare not move from your place, mummy wanted to make you walk, but you just refused. Mummy tried to get rid of your fear by splashing some water to you, you laughed and turned away from us. However, after a while you started to feel more comfortable and you touched the water.

You begin to splash some water and scoop it with your hands, kicking the water and tried to step on the waves that is approaching you. Occasionally, you'll scooped some sand to put into your mouth to taste, so yucky, mummy tried to stop you but were too slow and it was very difficult to dig out the sand from your mouth. You did it a few times and mummy gave up, mummy let you explore yourself and you'd finally realized that the sand are not meant to be eaten.... You're just too curious babe.

Mummy could see you enjoy yourself so much so that you do not want to get out from the water, so mummy thought of teaching you how to swim, however you were not that brave, you screamed and almost look like crying, ok next time perhaps.

The sun is getting hotter, mummy carried you back to the shore, you cheeky girl refused to let me carry and you wanna walk by yourself, so mummy put you down, you walked very carefully and gave some nice posing so mummy could snap some of your photos.

Family trip again...

Haha, very soon after the Bukit Tinggi trip, we'll be off to the Palace Beach and Spa at Seri Kembangan today. There is a man-made beach and yes I'll be taking Claudia for a nice dip into the water.

*whisper and blushing* This is my 1st family trip without the maid but.... with a few of my closest friends... haha still not too bad, at least I have a few more helpers to handle this little rascal..... Sure no problem la... she is actually not that hard to handle and she can behave very well too, it's only that she is too active and me getting older, so its hard for me to chase her.

This time I would not miss out any opportunity to capture all the nice scenery pictures and more pictures on Claudia, cause I need to pick a few of her latest natural pictures for her year end contest.

I wish that this trip would be a pleasant trip .... and most importantly, Claudia will enjoy herself.

I still can't believe

I can't believe she is such a big girl already. Sometimes, I can't help feeling amazed when I look at her, she is so grown up, so matured looking and showing so much signs of how she understands us and having so much expression and preferences of her own.... I still can't believe, I still feel like I gave birth to her just yesterday....

Today, after dressing up from a good shower, she looked at me and said "nai nai or" (nice nice hor) by showing her shirt to me. This is the word that we always tell her after she had her shower and sometime back when I was still sleeping she suddenly yell out "wake up" to me, this is what I always say to her when she was sleeping and I wanted to wake her up. There are also a few actions that she imitate from us like taking our handphone and start to press the number and put it to her ear while walking and start to mumble and nodding her head, as if she was talking to someone .... When she was a baby, we always play our famous game "peek-a-boo", now that she is the one who starts 1st, tapping on our back and turn her face to face us and said "cak-cak"

She is certainly a fast learner, we only need to show/teach her once or a few times, then she starts to imitate.

..... and suddenly I realized that this little girl of mine, is not little anymore. I really miss those days when she was just a tiny adorable baby who sleep most of time but now .....

There's something different about you...

Haven't you guys noticed, there's something different about my girl lately? Nope? Well I'll tell you, she just had her hair cut last Friday (17/8/07). This is her 4th hair cut since birth. Her por-por took her to cut after much of a complaints from me everyday for more than 2 weeks, because it was too long and disturbing her view. I feel very uneasy for her, but we only cut her on the fringe.

After the hair cutting session, I must confess, she look a bit weird, hahaha, no cut complaint, after cut also complaint, what I want actually?? My mum said cut very little only ... but it really looks funny on her. Now when we tied her hair up, she look like this......

Very funny right? See, she don't like it as well ... Can't even tie her hair up, hmmm... regret already, aiyah!

She loves her new chair

Last Saturday, we went to Tesco for some groceries. We bought a mini chair/sofa for my little princess because we do not want her to climb on the sofa, afraid she might fall (anyway, its already happened on Sunday). She loves it so much, whenever she wants to sit, she'll go and jump on the mini sofa and will lean on it, as if she is really enjoying and relaxing herself.

I love it too because it will ease the pain on my shoulder and my tight whenever we need to feed Claudia with milk, yes, she is still very lazy holding her own bottle and prefer being fed by us. What a shame huh?

We also bought an electronic lantern with "twinkle, twinkle little star" for her since Mid-Autumn festival is just around the corner. Last year she was still a baby and I hope this year she'll have a bit of fun playing and celebrating this festival.

The teacher

Yup, let me introduce you my new teacher at home, she is none other than Ms Claudia Teng. Every night, she would offer free tuition class for her student (obviously it's me or my maid) when her student is free after shower and meal and ready for her favourite show on astro and time for relaxing.... but Ms Claudia said no, it's time for class and no entertainment without her permission, Ms Claudia would go to the coffee table and take her favourite book tittled "My Little Word Book"

She would sit in front of her student, start flipping the page and pointing on the object from the book then, look straight to her face expected for an answer, her student would need to answer her, if she named it correctly she would reward her with her sweetest smile and start flipping from page to page and continue questioning, failing which, she would frown and look angrily at her student, if she student refused to answer Ms Claudia, she would closed the book and walked away from her. Very garang ho this teacher.

I was not feeling well on Sunday, headache and tired probably lacking of sleep, so I asked my maid to massage my head. There I was laying on the floor, enjoying the massage and Ms Claudia started to kacau me by stepping and climbing on my body, touching my eyes, pull my lips, and nose and kicking as well, poor me ... but what I worried most was, she may trip and fall down .... but her daddy was too engrossed watching football and didn't bother to take care of his lil' girl....

I had enough and asked hubby to carry her away and to look after her. Actually, I was really angry at him but I didn't show him, I dislike to hear the noisy sound from tv especially when I had headache, but I decided to keep quiet and be patient, let him watch his favourite once awhile, I think, but please be more sensitive to the surrounding la offer to help to look after Claudia la, especially you knew your wife was not feeling well, but you didn't! OK fine, you carried her away and I was pleased with it... so the massage continued ...

Suddenly, my maid shouted and I was shocked, I opened my eyes, and saw Claudia falling from the sofa, head down the floor!! Apparently, after hubby carried her away from me, he put her on a sofa beside him and continue with his football, this rascal stood up and saw my handphone and pretending to walk while talking on the phone, she looked down and loose balance and fell.

I was the 1st tO reached and carried her while her dad was only starting to run to her. OMG!! I was furious and start screaming at him. "I told you to look after her, how can you let her fall? What are you doing? See, what have you done?" I screamed, and he yelled back at me too. "Oh now you blame me? I was watching my tv, I also didn't want this to happen, why you took the stool away from here? if not, she won't fall so hard" (for your info, the stool are not supposed to be in there and never, should never to be in that place, ok) "So now you are blaming me for that? Your tv is greater than your daughter la? So my fault? The stool is not suppose to be there! Its your fault to cause this fall and you're blaming me? I was really sick, asked you to take care of her and now this is what she (Claudia) get? You're just hopeless, yeah, it's my fault of asking your help, I shouldn't" This went on quite a bit.**very angry and I kept pushing him away from touching Claudia. I don't want him to touch Claudia ** I also off the tv straight away.

(Back to the story) Claudia cried and cried and cried non-stop, must be a great pain, can visibly see her bump almost immediately. I tried to rub her forehead but she refused and cried again (luckily it was on the forehead and not any part of the head, I guess you know what I mean). I have no choice but to wait till she's asleep, then I'll massage her again. When to the kitchen and boiled an egg so I can rub on her later, hopefully the swell will reduced. I was scared that she might feel dizzy or vomit or even faint ... kept asking her questions and was relieve she was able to answer me and tell me where was the pain and so on ....

I put her in the swing and waited till she fell asleep, but she didn't let anyone to touch her head even when she has fallen asleep by putting a pillow and hand on her head, tried to touch her head, but she cried and turn her body away... waited till she was in deep sleep, and later she was snoring away. I carried her and began to rub her head with egg, Uhhh, still swell, my heart broke and I almost wanna cry, darling, mummy really sorry. I promise this would not happen again, ya. I would not let daddy look after you when I know he really can't and engross with his stupid idiot box!

I couldn't sleep well that night as I was constantly checking her, making sure she that she is alright and rubbing her head with some medicated oil. Luckily she still sleep well although she had some nightmares. The next morning, Oh thank God, she was all smiley face and back to her normal self, but I can't be normal (fuming still) when I think what had happened and I have not really spoken to hubby. DON"T touch me, don't talk to me!! I'M STILL ON FIRE.

Careless mum ....

I'm going to send my laptop to the ICU... half of the screen turn white with some crack patches on it... you wanna know how it became like this?

All of us were in our room when Claudia started to feel bored and making noise wanted to go out, so hubby opened the door for her exit. We continue with out stuff, while Claudia went to get her book on the coffee table, but when she saw my laptop, she took it and was not having enough strength to hold the laptop and dropped it on the floor! Bang! AaawwwWW !! (yeah, yeah i knew it was my fault for not keeping it at the right place, causing this tragedy to happened) My maid saw it, but not fast enough to stopped this lil girl.

Thinking it wasn't that serious, my maid didn't inform me about this, so I didn't know until when I on my laptop and realized something was wrong and I asked her, she told me about the whole incident..... I can't blame Claudia, because it was truly my fault, I have to bear with it but of course, I did feel angry and scolded her to remind that she must not touch my laptop again in future. She cried and nodded understood and hug me immediately.... heart melted...but still feel so much of the pain....and upset so I asked hubby to help transfer all my folder, files, picture, data out to cds, luckily all those important files are still in good condition. Hopefully, it can be repair else, I will need to fork up money with a new one.

Anyway, lesson I've learnt from this experience is, always keep your precious/important in a safe place out from the reach from your children. Hmmm.... now who to blame? me lor.. :(

New car seat

Finally, we found a suitable car seat for my lil princess after few months of hunting.... we bought from one of the baby shop in Bukit Tinggi, Klang at the price of RM426.00.

We love it so much, Claudia love the chair so much too that sometimes, when I was too lazy to strap her in, when were in short distance travel from my apartment to my mum's place early in the morning and was rushing to work, but she'll insist on sitting the chair by nodding and pointing to it.

When we were traveling to Bukit Tinggi last Saturday, she slept along the way and sit quietly in the chair too when were were back from the hill. The chair is really very comfortable and we are glad that we made the right choice for her.

The poor and ugly girl ....

She has a very fair but sensitive skin, each time she got bitten by insect, her skin will swell and turn red. It may take a few days for her to fully recover but she'll end up with scar on her body. Such a heartache looking at her each time kena bitten from all those culprits.

Last Saturday, while we were loading our luggage into the car, she was already bitten by mosquito on her right eyes causing her eyes swollen and and red. Poor lil' girl, it became worse at night, I can't wait till morning to return home so we can take her to the doctor immediately. Reached the clinic at 10.30am on Sunday. He gave me a special medication for her problem and she also had her Pneumococcal jab on that day... I was happy to see her getting better after applying it, the bump and the redness reduced.

Funny thing is, despite her swollen eye, she did enjoy herself very much at Bukit Tinggi, playing with all the aunties and do "blinking" eyes with them, her mood never affected by that, but we didn't get to enjoy as much as we'd like to. We promised her to take her there again very soon.... :)

Received the same email few years ago, after reading that, I never thought of bringing my children (now Claudia) to these place, so I wanna share with all of you (since i received this email the 2nd time) especially to all parents who love their kids. Please think twice before bring your children to these places.

All places with ball pits! in the children's play area.One of my sons lost his watch, and was very upset. We dug and dug in those balls, trying to find his watch. Instead, we found vomit, food, faeces, and other stuff I do not want to discuss. I went to the manager and raised hell. Come to find out, the ball pit is only cleaned out once a month. I have doubts that it is even done that often. My kids will never play in another ball pit. Some of you might not be parents, but you may have nieces, nephews, grandchildren, or friends with children.

Hi. My name is Lauren Archer. On October 2nd, 1999 I took my only son Kevin to McDonald's for his 3rd birthday. After he finished lunch, I allowed him to play in the ball pit. When he started whining later on, I asked him what was wrong, he pointed to the back of his pull-up and simply said "Mummy, it hurts." I couldn't find anything wrong with him at that time. I bathed him when we got home, and it was at that point when I found a welt on his left buttock. Upon investigating, it seemed as if there was something like a splinter under the welt. I made an appointment to see the doctor the next day, but soon he started vomiting and shaking, then his eyes rolled back into his head. From there, we went to the emergency room. He died later that night. It turned out that the welt on his Buttock was the tip of a hypodermic needle that had broken off inside. The autopsy revealed that Kevin had died from a heroine overdose. The next week, The police removed the balls from the ball pit. There was rotten food, several hypodermic needles: some full, some used; knives, half-eaten lollies, nappies, faeces, and the stench of urine. (You can find the article on Kevin Archer in the October 10,1999 issue of the Midland Chronicle.) Don't think it's just McDonald's either. A little boy had been playing in a ball pit @ a Hungry Jacks & started complaining of his legs hurting. He later died too. He was found to have snake bites all over his legs & buttocks. When they cleaned the ball pit they found that there was a copperhead's nest in the ball pit. He had suffered numerous bites from a very poisonous snake. I have to post this before i forget.

All my mum's friend loves Claudia alot, because they find her very adorable, smart and playful, Claudia too, loves to see them around and is always ready to give them surprises with her naughty tricks.

This afternoon my mum's majung kaki friend (aunty T) came to visit, mum was at the kitchen blending some chili paste, Claudia greeted aunty T, held her hand and lead her to the store room, so aunty T followed her and then Claudia pointed at the majung table, showing her where the table is, so that they can start playing majung. Aunty T laughed and asked my mum to come and see how intelligent her grand daughter is, but what do you think, intelligent or busybody? What worry me, I'm afraid she'll learn or grow to like to gamble at a young age.

I don't wanna sleep alone (Pt 3)

Failed again, she still didn't want to sleep in cot!! She woke up at 12am and refused to sleep after that. I have no choice but to pick her up and put her on our bed, she slept very well then but not us ... *yawn* (keep on trying .....)

Bukit Tinggi, here we come

We'll be off to Bukit Tinggi tomorrow on our 1st family trip (we usually got balik kampung la, once a month, does it consider as family trip also?) together with the whole group of my company's sport club member.

So tonight, I'll have to do the packing for Claudia (nothing much on us), making sure I do not miss a single important stuff of hers... milk powder, pillow, blanket, sweater & etc.

We'll be leaving home at about 11.30am and are require to be at the resort at 1.00pm sharp to get our room keys, check-in to the hotel and then... lots of games, treasure hunt, performances and meal. Then to come back after check-out on Sunday at 1.00pm.

Most likely, I won't be joining the games as I prefer to spend time playing with Claudia, and to take lots of her pictures

Hopefully, Claudia can sleep along the way... and I would come back with lots of her pictures...

I don't wanna sleep alone (Pt 2)

Yesterday, I mentioned about training her to sleep alone, so last night, we did the same thing again, after she fell asleep in the cradle swing at about 10.30pm, Siti carried her to her cot, I gave her a good night kiss, and saw her opened her eyes, but she continued to sleep again. I was a bit relieved, she knew that she was in the cot and yet continue sleeping .... Thank God.

At about 4.00am, she made noise, so I got up and looked at her, she's still lying on her bed, I gave her some water, and told her to continue sleeping, "uuuaarrghh" started to cry and look very pitiful, ok, ok, I carried her to our bed, not wanting to hear her crying further as we are really tired and sleepy. When she was placed between us, she fell asleep almost immediately... I lose again .... (sigh)

To all the KL and PJ drivers out there:

Please be warned that there is an orange Proton cab with the number plate HWC 244 (name of cab company -Innovasi Timur Sdn Bhd) who is out to get single women drivers, for unknown reasons but we believe potentially to rape and kill. The cab is driven by a fat and bald man (occasionally with two other men in the car who look like foreigners) who have been going around doing the following (possibly amongst others) to get women to come out of their cars by attempting to create an accident:

1. Cutting into your lane quickly so that you have to swerve to avoid an accident.
2. Braking suddenly on a road where there is just you and them.
3. Driving extremely slowly in front of you and then when you overtake, he will try to knock into you by swerving into your lane.

It is very likely that more than one woman have experienced the attempts of the driver of this cab but it is unknown if he has been successful in raping/murdering any woman yet. Please don't let it happen to you!

Please be very observant and careful to look out for this cab, especially when you are traveling on a quiet road by yourself. There have been so many rape cases lately (e.g. the one in Centrepoint ) so please warn your loved ones - wives, daughters, mothers, sisters, etc., to be extra extra careful and to watch out for cabs and cars like HWC 244 and other similar perpetrators.

I've been thinking for few months to have Claudia sleeping on her own, she's growing bigger and tossing and turning around more in the middle of the night, cause us to have sleepless night and have to squeeze ourselves to the side so that she has more space for herself. Hubby was a bit hesitant with the idea, he said wait till she is a year old, but already 14 months now still sleeping with us? Well, actually we didn't have a time to dis-assemble (maybe, we still prefer to have her sleeping with us) the cot (which we placed at our living room) and placed it our room until last Sunday. After we had finished assemble the cot and placed it next to my bed, I told her to sleep on her own from Tuesday night, because we have to stay at my mum's place to look after the house as they were on a vacation. She nodded and I assume she understood what I have told her, I kept on repeating that and each time she nodded at me (clever girl, she really can understand what I told her) and daddy & mummy were very happy and contended ...

On a normal day, I would put her in the cradle swing until she's asleep. I would then carry her to our bed. If she woke up in the middle of the night, she would sit up and asking for water, after that she normally will fall asleep back immediately. This happen anytime from 2.00am to 6.30am., but last night, I placed her in the cot with the hope that she would sleep through the night or not waking up and asking for water (but very unlikely!!).

At 2.30am, I woke up after hearing some noise, I saw her standing beside my bed and was already trying to climb out from the cot, when she saw me looking at her, she start faking a cry, I carried her out and she gave her some water. After that, I tried to put her back into the cot, but she cried immediately, and refused to get in. I told her "mummy's bed is just next to you, if you want mummy, mummy will come, but you must sleep on your own ok?" Wah cannot la .... she cried even louder lo ..... Mission failed!! No choice lo .... another night with us ....

Have to try again tonight, wish me all the best!!

So fast eh?? She turn 14 months today. Just taken her her measurement just now.

She never seized to amaze us with her understanding in language and picking up new words everyday. She can communicate with us with her newly learnt phrases and with her body language, and she's good at expressing herself, most of the time, we do understand her.

She is very helpful and always willing to help like; when she knew we are going to prepare her bedtime routine, she will go and open the drawer and take out all her pillows and pass it to me, picking up all her toys when we ask her to; taking her shoe out when we are going out; she'll pass the phone to me if the phone rang; ask her to throw rubbish in the bin and so much more... now mummy getting lazy and ask the little girl to help out with certain task....

Although, Claudia can say "papa and mama" long time ago but it wasn't something special like last Sunday (22/7/07). I was doing some reading in the web when suddenly Claudia walked near me after she had her shower. My eyes glued on the screen and didn't look at her at all. She came nearer and patted on my shoulder, I looked at her, she then smiled and said "mama" and gave me a big hug. Oh... how sweet and my heart melted!!!! This is the 1st time she called me without me having to plead /ask her repeatedly and have to offer her with something as reward.

Today, she can say "mummy" instead of only "mama". She is learning fast... These are a few new words she learned recently,

1) asked her to call por-por (granny) but she said bebe
2) bag - bek
3) belt - bet
4) i want to go back - oh ah wa wa wa wa bat

Hope she can call me "mummy" from now on.... yeah!!

My Little Helper

I love it very much to have Claudia sleeping with hubby and myself, putting her in between us. I'll have my arms around her, patting and cuddling her whenever she makes noise. Every night, we will place her pillows nicely on the bed and when we wake up, we will fold her blanket and keep all her pillows in a drawer.

Friday evening (27/7/07), as usual, hubby placed her pillows on the bed, upon seeing that, little Claudia took her pillow from the bed and walked to the drawer, open it, and kept her pillow in it, closed it again and then, she went to take another pillow did the same thing again. Huh?? We were wondering and laughing in joy... who taught her that? How she knew we keep her pillow there? We can't believe our eyes but she has been doing that few times now. Haha can get her to help me with the house chores very SOON!

Diet (every 4 hours, alternating between milk and solid)

3 times solid (Promil Gold 3) - 9 oz
2 times solid (nestle) - 4 to 5 scoops

She doesn't eat any cooked porridge, she will spit out each time we feed her. Only loves sweet thing, not any sour or salty food. Love drinking water, she likes to share juices with me, like an adult drinking from cup, if drink juice from bottle, she will reject altogether, perhaps, she think only can drink water/milk from bottle only. Chewing food with her mouth shut tightly, can't see any movement, you can't tell if she has finish chewing and swallowing but when ask her to open her mouth to see, her mouth is always empty.

Drinking milk all by herself?

Feeding Claudia with milk is never an easy task....she hardly finish all her milk and always need at least 1 break in between, sometimes it will take more than 1/2 hour to finish her 9oz milk. Most of the time, we need to force her to drink and she'll make a fuss out of that.

She loves to drink water though, she will ask for water and drink all by herself but never on milk, even when she woke up at night, she will only wake me up and ask for water only, after she had enough, she will put the bottle nicely beside her.

However, yesterday Siti gave her a bottle of milk and talked to her nicely, "kakak give you milk, Claudia minum sendiri, must finish, ok? (I give you milk, Claudia drink yourself, must finish, ok?) Claudia nodded and laid down on Siti's lap, she put the bottle in her mouth and drank. I was surprised when I saw this and wondered how long she can continue like this. (I was thinking probably she just playing a fool, but was I wrong). She was drinking and kept switching hand to hold the bottle, probably her hand were tired holding that bottle for so long. She took about 10 minutes to finished it, no need to take a break and most importantly, the bottle is emptied!. Wow!! That's amazing, she never did that before. It was the 1st time in history! Oh Wow!! Bravo Claudia! Keep it up, my darling!

Birthday party

We celebrated Claudia birthday on 16/6/07 at my mum’s place…. Her actual date was on 26/5/07 but my mum told me I have to follow the Lunar Calender. It was a busy day for all … from getting the deco done, trying to put little Claudia to sleep in the afternoon, but she was as busy as us. She tried to help out and follow us everywhere, but what can she do? Her volunteer only got us into more messy situations. We got her stuff ready, her birthday dress, shoes, hair pins, making sure the catering is in order and the list goes on ….

It was not a good day for partying … cause it rained the whole day since morning, we were so worried that the guests may not be able to turn up, anyway we have to continue with it and pray hard that the rain will stop on time ….

The guests arrived at 7.00pm and the party kicked off at around 8pm after the rain stopped. More and more guests came, and Claudia was so excited to see so many peoples came to hug and wish her. She looked so beautiful with her new dress, new shoe and hair nicely done. Claudia received a lot of birthday presents and angpows from relatives and friends, all were nicely wrapped.

Everyone was busy looking for Claudia, carried her and passing her around, finally she had enough and was making a fuss, oppss, I forgot, it was already 9.30pm, it’s her usual time to bed. Siti, my maid took her into the room and put her to sleep, the party continued till about 11pm.

The next day, I unwrapped all the presents, she had toys, books, new clothes, soft toys, cds, gold necklace, gold bangle and a lot of angpows Happy Birthday my little Claudia, mummy and daddy love you so much!!

Claudia started to walk at 11 months, and she can walk steadily now. She will walk wherever she likes and follow us most of the time... to the room to the kitchen and to the bathroom.....

One day, her Gong-gong (my dad) wanted to go outside the car porch to wash his car, Claudia saw him walking straight out and so she followed him, walking quickly and giggled excitedly thinking that Gong-gong will take her out for an evening walk, but instead, Gong-gong didn't noticed her and locked the door grille, seeing that, she made some noise telling gong-gong, she's coming with him....

Gong-gong smiled at her and said "If you want to come out with me, you must give me a kiss first" and she started to kissed and kissed and kissed desperately .... but not to her Gong-gong but the door grille!! Gong-gong heart melted upon seeing that and opened the grille and carried her, asked her to kiss again but she buat tak tahu pulak!

My mum told me to follow the Chinese calender for Claudia's 1st birthday, so the date was on 14/6/07 instead of 26/5/07 and we later threw a birthday party on 16/6/07.

I ordered a cake from Secret Recipe few days before and went to collect it after work. The cake was very nice 'power-puff girl'.

Before singing her birthday song, we were busy dressing her up, and I managed to snap a few of her pictures.

As Claudia is always 'oi leng' (like being pretty and nice), she really doesn't mind people make-up of her, putting lots or beautiful clip on her hair. She will sit quietly till you have done. She has lots of hair clips and pins but we decided to put hair-band on her, look more like princess ma...
